The department was started during the academic year
1996 - 97 with approval from AICTE and affiliation from
University of Madras; later from Anna University.This
department has impressive range of laboratories.
The department library has an extensive
collection of academic books in the areas of latest
technologies. The department has well equipped laboratory
facilities in the area of thermal, fluid mechanics,
dynamics, workshop, cad/cam, strength of materials.
Efficient staffs guide students & individual attention
is given to students. The department has stable, highly
qualified and experienced staff members in the staff
student ratio of 1:13.

Obtained his B.Sc., and M.Sc., in TBML College.
He had been servicing at G.K.M.C.E.T since 1997.
He is a Life Member in ISTE. He has writen Engineering
Physics, Applied Physics, Material Science Books.
Additionaly he is holding the post of Dean - Finance.
