The department was started during the academic year
1996 - 97 with approval from AICTE and affiliation from
University of Madras; later from Anna University.This
department has impressive range of laboratories.
The department library has an extensive
collection of academic books in the areas of latest
technologies. The department has well equipped laboratory
facilities in the area of thermal, fluid mechanics,
dynamics, workshop, cad/cam, strength of materials.
Efficient staffs guide students & individual attention
is given to students. The department has stable, highly
qualified and experienced staff members in the staff
student ratio of 1:13.

Prof of Physics HOD - Chemistry
Obtained her B.Sc from G.V.N College and M.Sc
from S.F.R College, and M.Phil from Madurai Kamaraj
University. She has been serving in G.K.M.C.E.T
since 1997. She is a Life Member in ISTE. She
had worked as Jr. Scientific Officer for 3 years.
Now she is holding the post of Dean - Humanities
and Sciences.

He is working in the field of
Industry & Teaching since
1995. He had published many technical
papers in International Journals
and International Conference.
He is the author of various Engineering
Chemistry Text Books. He is the
Life Member of Indian Society
of Technical Education, at present
he is holding the position of
Additional Chief Superintendent
in the Anna University Examinations.
Other than that he is the co-ordinator
of Disciplinary Committee and
Research and Development activity.
